Planting the seed...
My Name is Jennifer Dorr! My career in fashion started out a bit differently than expected. I received my degree in Photography in 1988 and worked for a local photography lab in Boston. After my job was eliminated, to make ends meet, I took a job at Bloomingdale's working behind the cosmetic counter at Chanel. This was the beginning of assisting clients to look their best. Over the next 25 years, I worked with several beauty companies and became a Global Trainer & Special Event Manager for Dr. Obagi of Beverly Hills, CA. I traveled the country, met new people, got married, and eventually moved to Florida. All the while dreamt of being my own boss. Finally, it was time to cultivate my next adventure!
Turning a New Leaf...
After 25+ years in the fashion industry, I decided to become an entrepreneur and open my own boutique. With a little bit of luck, I was able to obtain a great location on Broadway in downtown Dunedin. Dreams became reality and we opened Citrus Styles in October 2020, in spite of a pandemic. The name pays homage to the citrus industry which was big in the early 20th century in Dunedin. Our style reflects our unique fashion amongst our customers.
Watch Us Grow!
After moving to our new larger location on Main Street in October 2022, we were able to expand our inventory to serve our customers better! We feel we make a great contribution to our beloved Dunedin with having a women's boutique experience.
